During Election Season, We Must Still Canvas For Jesus

Here in America, it seems things could not be any more tense or heated as the Nov. 3 presidential election fast approaches. On TV, radio and the internet, people passionately talk about why their candidate is vastly superior and the other is severely lacking. While vigorous political debate is good and necessary, so many Americans have lost their peace and have even given into anger and/or fear. While there is still canvassing going on (the practice of soliciting votes from a particular area for a candidate) in these last weeks, we should not forget to canvas for Our Lord. He is the true leader that we must elect to be master of our lives. It is certainly of critical importance to do our civic duty and vote in this 2020 Presidential election, we must recall the even more important truth -- we are members of royal nation in heaven, that we are priests, prophets, and kings. And so we need to continue to hit the streets and share the gospel in hopes that, no matter what happens on election day, Jesus Christ is inaugurated into the hearts of all.

With God, Obstacles are Nothing

Orlando, FL. Even when we’re running late to do something for the Lord, He is outside of time and knows just what needs to happen to turn our “yes” into something good. For instance, recently I decided to change things up and visit the local park on a whim (the Holy Spirit) to see if there were people out walking during business hours that I could evangelize. I ended up being late, and felt pretty guilty about it, but I carried on because there were quite a lot of people at the park.

Evangelizing at St. Mary's

Winona, MN. Today’s story takes place at St. Mary’s University in Winona, which traces its origins to a priest and educational innovator of 17th century France, Saint John Baptist de La Salle (Patron Saint of Teachers). What’s interesting is that this school has already produced one student that has been beatified…Bl. James Miller, FSC. Our hope is that this Catholic university produces many more saints, which is why our team goes our to share the Good News.
