“Now is the time to commit all of the Church’s energy to a New Evangelization.” St. John Paul II

St. Paul Evangelization is hosting a Virtual Street Evangelization Workshop on Saturday, November 21 from 12:00 - 2:30 p.m. (EDT). It's a hands on, practical, and dynamic evangelization training designed specifically for street evangelization. Participants will get the instruction and practice they need to be an effective evangelist. The workshop includes a series of presentations, a modeling of our methods, and the opportunity to break out into small groups and practice what we’ve learned with other workshop participants. When so many of our efforts in promoting the New Evangelization are focused primarily on catechesis about evangelization, this workshop teaches Catholics, no matter their previous education or experience, how to share their faith effectively and enthusiastically with the people they encounter out on the street.

The cost of the workshop is $14.99 for pledging partners, and $29.99 for non-pledging partners. The cost includes a complimentary T-shirt, free SPSE nametag, and a free 33 Days to Morning Glory booklet. All of this will be shipped to you at no additional cost! Sign up today by clicking here. We hope to see you there! Zoom ‘doors’ open at 11:45 am. Once you sign up, a Zoom link will be emailed to you. You can register by clicking here.

You're Always Welcome At Mass

London, ON. I spoke to Jim (a man in his sixties) after seeing him at morning Mass. He was conspicuously uncomfortable, and during Holy Communion he came up only for a blessing. After Mass as he was about to leave I spoke to him and told him I had never seen him before. He said he had only recently started going to Mass but he felt unworthy to go because he was not Confirmed into the Church. He then proceeded to explain that he didn’t go to Church growing up because his parents didn’t go. He thought he had been Baptized but wasn’t sure. He said he and his daughter and grandchild had been baptized recently, but then paused to ask me why I stopped to talk to him. I told him I’d heard him speak briefly to Sister Mary after Mass and was concerned that he might not know how welcome he was at Mass and that none of us are worthy of Christ’s great love.

Our School of Evangelization is Busy Creating New Evangelists!

Royal Oak, MI. Students from the St. Paul Virtual School of Evangelization's Southeast, MI campus recently went out on two separate occasions to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with people and pray for them. Just participating in Christ's saving work in our small way brings a natural joy with it. There is nothing better than teaching individuals to become missionary disciples of Christ and join them in saving souls. Our first hands-on evangelization experience for the students happened on a recent Saturday in front of a Starbucks in downtown Royal Oak. Michael, one of our students, shared some of his experiences. "I offered to pray to a young mother with her son. The son accepted my request. I asked him what he would like me to pray for. He told me he was going through Confirmation. I did say a verbal prayer for him. I always carry a 3” Gold Colored St. Benedict Crucifix with me. I decided to give it to Nicholas. He told me he is going to wear it visually during his Confirmation. I also gave his mother a Miraculous Medal. I told her the history of the Miraculous Medal, and she was very appreciative.

I approached a woman that was walking by us. I asked her if she would like me to say a prayer for her. She hesitated and said, yes. I asked her what she would like to pray for. She told me she had a cousin that was very sick and would like to pray for her. I asked her for the name of her cousin. Then I started an unprompted prayer for her cousin. After the prayer, I gave her a Miraculous Medal. I gave her the history of the medal. I also told her to put the medal on her cousin. I also suggested that she goes online and look up the Miraculous Medal. I told her the detailed story behind this medal is amazing. She was crying after the prayer.
