Back in September, we released the first video in our new video testimonial series called "One Good Reason". It's an opportunity for our evangelists to share about their faith and their motivations for spreading it. The idea is to inspire others to draw close to Jesus and to engage in the urgent work of evangelization.

Recently we released this video with Joseph, one of our evangelists, who explains his belief in the Holy Eucharist as a true miracle and his devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. We hope you enjoy it, and perhaps are inspired to share your One Good Reason with us! Simply send an email to kevin@stpaulse.com letting us know what your One Good Reason is for following Jesus, believing in God, and/or for why you evangelize. We may share them on a connected page. Who knows? You might also end up featured on the personal testimonies video page!

Festival of Lights

Riverside, CA. This past weekend, we evangelized at the Festival of Lights outside the historic Mission Inn Hotel. We call this our “Superbowl” of sorts due to the vast crowds that come to see the Christmas lights and walk around the Mission Inn Hotel (it’s almost a non-stop dream come true for us). Although the City of Riverside shut down all food booths and other activities around the Mission Inn Hotel for the Festival of Lights (again this year due to fear of the virus), we still had PLENTY of foot traffic. We gave out hundreds of rosaries, as well as numerous Miraculous Medals, holy cards, pamphlets, scapulars and other medals…and of course had numerous conversations about the faith.

One memorable encounter was with a lady who had lost her son last year due to suicide. She didn’t understand why a Catholic friend kept having masses said for his soul as she thought he was in Heaven. Her best understanding after we talked to her and gave her a pamphlet from the Marian Fathers on the Catholic teaching on suicide and Purgatory is that “it’s sorta like a carwash before getting into Heaven.”

Evangelizing At The Christmas Parade

Santa Rosa Freeport, FL. We set up a little Catholic Corner in the middle of the 13th Freeport Christmas Parade at City Hall alongside some of our brothers and sisters on mission for the Neocatechumenal Way.

All in all, we had ten evangelists sharing the Good News, including Father! There were hundreds of people and dozens of encounters sharing the Gospel message in the public square. It's important to remind people the "reason for the season", and we hope we reached some hearts.
