God Wills Everyone to be Saved - 2025-Sep-14
September 21, 2025
…and to come to knowledge of the truth (cf. 1 Tim 2: 4). So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.
A very large, extended Catholic family strolled by, one family in town to visit the other. They couldn’t quite believe their ears when they heard us offer “free Rosaries”. After the adults questioned us to see if they’d heard right, the children all rushed to the table to select a Rosary. One of the mothers commented on the times they pray the Rosary together and how important it is to them. At least 8 of them chose a Rosary. Pray for Catholic families, that they remain united in faith and be good examples to others.
“Uwe” stopped to say hi. Later, “Marty” did, too.
A homeless-looking couple each chose a Rosary.
A homeless woman wanted a Rosary but wouldn’t take the pamphlet because, she said, the shelter she stayed at did not allow religious literature on the premises. Pray for safety, healing, and faith for her and an openness to God at the shelter.
A group of three or four people went by. One person called out, laughing, that they serve the very enemy of their soul. So sad. Lord, have mercy! Free them, Lord, save them!
A man on a bike stopped to talk. He attends a non-Catholic Christian church and didn’t want a Rosary. Instead, he wanted to express his deep sadness over the recent murder of a political organizer whose organization was openly Christ-centered. We expressed the importance of praying for the victim and his young family. Our visitor thanked us for bringing Christ into the public square. Pray for the repose of the victim’s soul and for comfort for his grieving family and supporters. Especially pray that this violence does not lead to more violence, and becomes instead an opportunity to show forgiveness and love.
Two young men from a group on skateboards stopped to get Rosaries, which brought the rest of the guys to the table. The tall youth with shoulder length hair said he had heard that non-Catholics shouldn’t wear a Rosary because it was disrespectful. We said that was not the case, that wearing a Crucifix was a declaration of faith and may lead those who see it to remember Christ and pray. However, the important thing was to not just wear it, but to seek Christ in the Mysteries of the Rosary. Still, the tall youth could not get past what someone else had told him, and seemed relieved when the Rosary would not fit over his head (since we’re now totally out of the longer, chain-style Rosaries). Please pray for these young men that Christ becomes the center of their lives.
Altogether, the two evangelists gave away 30-35 Rosaries and its pamphlet, a copy each of the Good News/kerygma pamphlet, the “Problem of Evil and Suffering” pamphlet, the Our Lady Un-tier of Knots prayer card, and 1-2 Divine Mercy prayer cards.
Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.
It’s awe-inspiring to witness God’s ever-present love for everyone who encounters us. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
“Go with the strength you have” (Judg 6:14).
