Beginning our 14th Year - 2025-Oct-12

October 19, 2025

After all these years, God still has plenty of work for us to do in His Vineyard. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

A Catholic man stopped for a Rosary and to encourage us. We offered to pray for him. He asked prayers for “a smooth transition at work”. Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, please guide our visitor and those with whom he works so Your Will is done in everything and all the people involved know how much You value them.

E. Chuck was helping two young-adults each select their Rosary when a third, perhaps economically disadvantaged, person came to the table. E. Lucy set him up with a Rosary and its pamphlet, then asked if he had a specific prayer request. His answer was barely audible: “health issues” but he wasn’t specific. Lord, You know his needs. Please renew his health and lead him to salvation.

Two non-Catholic Christian men stopped when one of them wanted a Rosary. “Brennan” immediately told us that his girlfriend, “Trinity”, had gotten a Rosary from us some time ago. Brennan was “fairly new” in town and hadn’t been able to connect with a faith community. He said he’d felt excluded because of the part of the country that he’d moved here from. E. Lucy showed him our map to area parishes, and he told her what part of town he lived in, which was equidistant from three different parishes. She suggested he try all three, since each parish has its own personality, but also assured him that he’d be welcome. Then she asked if he’d like prayer for something specific. He immediately included the second man, “Logan”, in his vague prayer for “solitude” and peace. I think he meant “serenity”, since he also carried a strong odor that often accompanies heavy alcohol use. So, we prayed that he’d find a welcome in a faith community and that God would bless both men.

A very tall, 30-something, Catholic man was visiting from out of town. He chose a long chain Rosary made of gold-toned, disc-shaped beads. (He was so tall that the Rosary did not look a bit long in his hands.) Later, the man passed by again, this time accompanied by about 8 other people. One of the women from the group also wanted a Rosary, and chose the chain Rosary with bright blue-green beads. May God again bless our Rosary makers! We couldn’t do this without  your generous support!!!

A grade-school-aged boy went by and showed enthusiastic interest in receiving a Rosary. However, his father/grandfather said no, and we honored his authority. Lord, please continue to draw that boy to You.

A young Catholic family came to the table so the preschooler could choose a Rosary. The nicely dressed little girl surprised her mom by choosing a black Rosary with silver spacer beads. (E. Chuck talked with the dad, but didn’t have a chance to give us further details.) We encouraged them to pray it together as a family.

A Catholic couple, who had plenty of Rosaries at home, asked for prayer for safe travel. Lord, be with them and guide them.

A group of three people went by. They declined our offer of a free Rosary because, they claimed, they serve the very enemy of Good. Lord, You can do all things. Please wake them up to their imminent and mortal danger and draw them back to life!

On last week’s 13th anniversary of our weekly apostolate, the three available evangelists gave away another 30-35 Rosaries and its pamphlet on how to pray it, as well as a map to area parishes.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with their hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

We can’t do this alone. So, thank you again so much for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

“They are happy, whose strength is in you, in whose hearts are the roads to Zion” (Ps 84:6).
