Jesus, Unique and Merciful - 2025-Nov-23

November 30, 2025

Jesus is as relevant today as ever. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

A Catholic family stopped to chat. The father/grandfather told us he was from the city where the original Divine Mercy image had been painted. The mother took a Rosary to give as a gift, along with its pamphlet on how to pray it. She then asked for a copy of both of the prayer cards we had on the table: the Vilnius Divine Mercy image, and an Our Lady Untier of Knots prayer card. The woman wasn’t familiar with the latter devotion, so e. Lucy gave her a quick recap of how the future Pope Francis discovered the devotion in Europe and how effective the prayer is, especially for solving relationship issues. Lord, wonderful in Your Saints, please bless that family and keep them Faithful.

A Catholic woman stopped. She told us she had been, over time, giving a Rosary to each of her nieces and nephews. She paused for a moment to decide who would be the next recipient before she made her choice. She also talked about the Marian shrine near her hometown in another part of this country. I think she also took an Our Lady Untier of Knots prayer card.  Blessed Mother, you lead us to Your Son and advise us to “do whatever He asks”. Please ask Your Son to bless this woman and all of her nieces and nephews and bring them each to salvation in Him.

“Ravenna”, accompanied by her husband and new baby, stopped for a Rosary. She’s a non-Catholic Christian who is enthusiastic about Jesus. She gives Him all the credit for her now being 3 years clean from addiction to a very dangerous drug. She recognizes that all she has is an undeserved gift from Him! Lord, thank You for Your great mercy! Please continue to bless Ravenna and her family!

A large pseudo-Christian sect has taken over a good quarter of the business park with their “Giving Machine” promotion, which includes a bank of at least three ATMs. Different musicians were performing live Christmas music and, ironically, some of them sang traditional religious hymns that celebrate Jesus Christ as our one God and Savior, truths that their particular religion rejects. We weren’t visited by any of their missionaries, but several people who had stopped at their setup also came and accepted a Rosary from us. Lord, lead them to the real You, Who alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life!

A man walked by. He stopped momentarily, then refused our offer of a free Rosary by proclaiming his identity as a follower of the very enemy of his soul. One of the evangelists called after him, “God is calling you back into the light!” He responded with a multi-finger gesture. God, save him!

Two teenagers stopped. One of them was curious about the Rosary. He wasn’t Christian, so e. Chuck gave him a quick version of the Gospel message and we set him up with a copy of our Good News/kerygma pamphlet. His friend told us that he already had a Rosary. Lord, lead them both into life!

A special thank you, and another plea for God’s abundant blessings, for each of our generous Rosary makers!

A man on an electric scooter circled back when he heard our offer. He considered himself agnostic, though he had grown up Christian. He couldn’t say why he was agnostic, but a good friend of his had just started back to church and was working on getting him to return as well. He seemed mostly focused on the Rosary as a necklace, but admitted that maybe he needed some prayer. Please pray for him, may the example of his friend lead him to faith in Christ Jesus.

A young man with the tattoo of a little rose behind his right ear stopped at the table. He was unfamiliar with the Rosary and considered himself vaguely “not really religious”. He listened politely as we encouraged him to get to know Jesus through the Mysteries and to feel free to ask questions in the prayer. He also accepted a Good News/kerygma pamphlet and said he would read both it and the Rosary pamphlet. Noticing his tattoo as he was getting ready to move on, we suggested he look for a link between the rose on his skin and the Rosary in his hand. Please pray he reads the pamphlets with an open heart and mind. Mystical Rose, pray for him.

Altogether, the two evangelists gave away another 20-25 Rosaries and its pamphlet, as well as 1-2 Divine Mercy prayer cards, 1-2 Good News/kerygma pamphlets, and 1-2 Our Lady Untier of Knots prayer cards.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Although secular culture often dismisses or obscures the Good News of God’s everlasting love and mercy, its reality remains. So, thank you again for  your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

“Go with the strength you have” (Judg 6:14).
