God knows what He is doing - 2025-Dec-28

January 4, 2026

People are still discovering the Rosary. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

A homeless man stopped for a Rosary. Lord, you know the challenges and obstacles he faces. Please heal him and restore him to the path You have designed for him.

A woman raised in an overseas country stopped and spoke with e. Chuck and e. Nancy. She chose a string Rosary for herself. Then her perhaps 10-year-old son snagged the fancy chain one, which the mom had evidently not seen. Although she seemed a bit disappointed for missing it, she didn’t ask to change her choice. She did, though, express curiosity about the Rosary, explaining she was raised in a national non-Catholic Christian church. She got sentimental as she spoke of the prayer beads she remembered seeing her grandfather wear on his wrist. She was surprised to hear that the Rosary is a meditation on Christ’s life, and didn’t know what the prayers associated with the prayer beads she remembers from her youth were about. However, she wasn’t forthcoming about whether or not she was currently attending church. Please pray that her mere curiosity and pleasant memories turn instead into an ardent desire for Christ, and that she and her son may be converted to Faith.

Some non-Catholic Christians stopped. After they heard an explanation of the Rosary as Christ-centered, they each chose one. Lord, may your Blessed Mother draw them ever closer to You!

Frequent visitors “Marty” and “Uwe” stopped at separate times, so we had a chance to visit a little. Marty had a black eye, resulting from losing his balance recently as he returned home with both hands full of groceries. Pray for healing and conversion for Marty.

“Uwe”, consciously maintaining his cheerful attitude, explained his twice-a-day, 15-minute walking routine. His office is near the local university. Please pray for Uwe, that he will continue to seek the One who can grant him true and everlasting joy.

Our evangelist e. Nancy reported feeling greatly encouraged when a young-adult man practically shouted his “Yes” when asked if he would like a Rosary. He was Catholic and was accompanied by two other young-adult men, who seemed a bit more hesitant about the Rosaries. They let us know that they were non-Catholic Christians. After listening to e. Lucy’s explanation of the devotion and how it helps one grow closer to Christ, they each also selected a Rosary and accepted its pamphlet on how to pray it. May the Lord draw all three of these men into His Heart and keep them there!

For the session, God granted us sunny weather that was not too cold. However, we saw almost no foot traffic. Still, the team gave away another 10-15 Rosaries and its pamphlet on how to pray it.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

We may have thought that we had few visitors, but every single person was so very important to God that He arranged that they encounter us. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

“They are happy, whose strength is in you, in whose hearts are the roads to Zion” (Ps 84:6).
