Jesus, Our Savior - 2026-Mar-15

March 22, 2026

People are still interested in Jesus. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.
A homeless man, a few months clean and sober, stopped to visit with us. In the course of his recovery from addiction, he’s discovered the joy of thinking of others before himself. Our visitor then asked if Catholics believe in the Trinity. We assured him that we do, and then he admitted that he had formerly belonged to a pseudo-Biblical sect that teaches nonbelief in both the Trinity and the Resurrection. We encouraged him to spend time praying with the Mysteries of the Rosary in order to learn Who Jesus really is. Besides the Rosary and its pamphlet, he also accepted a copy of our pamphlet on the Trinity. Please pray that Jesus reveals Himself to our visitor and that he comes to full Faith in the Holy Catholic Church.
“Garrett Charles” reeked of alcohol and was quite unsteady on his feet. He chose a Rosary, then stayed to chat about hometowns, especially with e. Nancy and e. Chuck. Lord, draw our visitor to Yourself. Free him. Save him.
Several large groups of teens stopped for Rosaries. They were returning from lunch after having attended the 3-day Catholic youth conference, which had ended shortly before our session. It had been held in the business park’s main convention. A number of the teens admitted that they’d already received a Rosary at the conference. A few of those refrained from getting another, but another large proportion wanted the pamphlet on how to pray it. We also had a run on Divine Mercy holy cards. A group of at least 20 teens had traveled together for more than 100 miles to attend the conference. Many of them stopped at our table. Their youth leader, following behind them, thanked us for being there. Lord, please bless all of these teens, sustain them in their Faith, and help them all grow ever closer to You in holiness.
An energetic, 30-something man with stylish hair stopped to ask if we were part of the youth conference. It turns out that he had been its MC. He, too, thanked us for being there. Lord, please bless this man and all those entrusted with passing on the Faith to our youth.
A woman pushing a little shopping cart with grocery bags inside paused at the table to talk. Formerly homeless, but now in nearby subsidized housing, she talked about her spiritual battles with addiction, her lack of gratitude, and her tendency to give advice to other people about God, advice that she didn’t take herself. She didn’t need a Rosary, but she took a Divine Mercy prayer card to replace her old one, from which the picture had worn off. Pray that she continues to be aware of, and confesses, her own sin and weaknesses, and that she places her full trust in the mercy of Christ our Savior.
A passing Catholic thanked us for bringing Rosaries into the public square. However, he wondered if we would be mugged if we tried this in his own metropolitan area (ironically, the very city in which SPSE began). Please pray for the St. Paul Street Evangelization teams around the world as they boldly share Christ with the people around them. May each member be kept safe from evil.
The man with many facial tattoos, who had stopped last week, came back and said his Rosary had broken. He said he still had his holy cards, Rosary booklet, and map of local parishes, but could he please have another Rosary? We set him up with a sturdier, string Rosary. May the Lord bless his desire to appear responsible, free him from addiction, and grant him a true and living relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christ.
One couple walked by and, with flat affect, said “no, thank you” to our offer of a free Rosary. Then the lady suddenly turned around, came back, and showed real interest as she picked one out and received its prayer booklet. It’s a privilege to talk to people about Jesus and prayer like this and see their face light up, as if they go from death to life.
One couple walked by, waved in friendly way, and announced they belonged to a certain non-Catholic Christian denomination. They didn’t allow us to respond, but we pray: Lord, please restore Christian unity.
Several people walked by, said they had a Rosary, but also said “yes” when asked if they would like the Rosary booklet. We know other Catholics who rarely lose a Rosary but can’t keep up with a booklet. Lord, bless them all and renew their love for this devotion.
Altogether, we gave away 40-45 Rosaries and its pamphlet, 5-10 Divine Mercy prayer cards, and a pamphlet about the Trinity.
Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.
God wills that every human being comes to be saved (cf. 1 Tim 2:4). So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!

“Go with the strength you have” (Judg 6:14).
