But I am Not Alone - 2026-Apr-26

May 3, 2026

Although other team members were temporarily unavailable, the Holy Spirit granted us a great session. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

The sports arena was gearing up to host a big athletic match, between the local professional team and one from across country. Therefore, lots of people were going into and out of the arena, some carrying large decorations. Before our session was over, two booths had also been set up in the middle of the business park. Foot traffic was heavy and regular. God granted us beautiful weather.

“Veli” stopped to visit. He told me that he’s a “flight attendant for a missionary air service”, based in town a bit west of here. He is from the other side of the country and is a widower twice over. Each of his wives had been Catholic, though not practicing. Veli had been raised in an anti-Catholic Christian denomination but has since mellowed. He talked about the importance of foreign missions, where people have not heard of Christ. Although he characterized Boise as “already Christian”, I countered by telling him of the large numbers of people who have now been raised without Christ. I assured him that we evangelists were missionaries, just without the language barrier. He accepted a copy of the Rosary pamphlet but didn’t take a Rosary, and he wished us well. Lord, keep Veli safe in his travels and help him see value in the reunification of Christianity.

Several families stopped at the table so that at least the children could each select a Rosary. Lord, preserve the innocence of these children and lead them into a lifelong relationship with You.

A young-adult man named “Brendan” stopped to encourage us. Catholic, he bounces between two different parishes. Just as he was about to leave, he noticed the nice chain Rosary with a colorful Our Lady of Grace centerpiece. He asked if he could have it “to give to a friend”. I said yes and gave him a copy of the Rosary pamphlet to go with it. Lord, please keep Brendan faithful and help him draw others to You and salvation.

Our last visitor was “Ted”. He said his family converted to a pseudo-Christian sect when he was seven years old. At the time, his father had been hospitalized with cancer, and the family was facing bankruptcy. The sect’s community took them in and provided for them, on the condition that they converted. They did. Our visitor, however, left that faith at about the age of 14, and then drifted along without any religion. Then his mother converted to Christianity and took our visitor to her non-Catholic church with her. By the time she passed on, he still hadn’t made a decision for Christ. Then, three days after her death, Ted had a spiritual experience where he felt absolutely flooded with the love of God. He’s been a Christian ever since but still hasn’t found a church family that he’s happy with, although he has lived in several different states. He told of his current church and that he felt appalled that the pastor wore t-shirt promoting a secular sport team and talked about his expensive new car for half of the service. It just didn’t seem right. The evangelist talked to Ted about the unity of teaching within the Catholic Church and offered him a copy of the Catechism. She showed him how to use it to find out why the Church teaches what she does rather than something else. The evangelist assured him that she thought the teachings would soothe his heart with their consistency and Christ-centeredness. He also took a Rosary and a map to area parishes. He asked about which ones had lively youth programs, and the evangelist pointed to three of them. Lord, bring Ted home to You in Your Holy Catholic Church and lead him to perfect holiness.

Altogether, I was able to give away another 20-25 Rosaries and its pamphlet on how to pray it, a copy of The Catechism of the Catholic Church, and a Divine Mercy prayer card.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

The Holy Spirit helped me connect with people as never before. Again, I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
