The Rosary brings people closer to Jesus Christ through Mary’s intercession. - 2021-03-21

March 28, 2021

The Rosary brings people closer to Jesus Christ through Mary’s intercession. So thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

A Catholic family, consisting of mom and four children, ranging in ages from about 2 to 16, stopped. They each (except the toddler) chose a Rosary, and we encouraged them to pray it as a family.

Another family of about 6 people, including 3 adults, stopped. Likewise, they each chose a Rosary.

Three junior high girls stopped. Each gladly choosing a Rosary.

Three 20-somethings stopped. Not familiar with the Rosary, they listened to e. Todd's explanation. Then they all three declined receiving one. May Our Blessed Mother draw them to her Son!

Two men were zipping by on their electric scooters. One heard e. Todd say, “free Rosary”, braked hard, and circled back to take the one he was holding. He didn't pause long enough for an explanation or to receive the Rosary pamphlet.

Three teenage ladies seemed really excited about their new Rosaries.

One elderly gentleman seemed emotionally touched after e. Lucy told him the Rosary is a great way to get closer to Jesus.

"Denise", who is suffering from cancer and who also seems to have lifestyle issues, is still attracted to the Catholic Church. May God grant her healing, physical and spiritual, and bring her home to Your Church before it’s too late.

“Laura” is battling stage iv uterine cancer, although her uterus was removed 30 years ago. She is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, practicing our Catholic Faith since birth, 65 years ago. She underwent her third chemotherapy treatment last Thursday. May God eradicate all three tumors and grant her patience, strength, and holiness.

A large family stopped. E. Chuck spoke with the teenager, who said they belonged to a parish in another town but couldn't remember its name. When the evangelist said the parish name, he agreed. He chose a Rosary and accepted the pamphlet, then listened politely as e. Chuck spoke about the Eucharist and spending time with Jesus in prayer. The rest of his family also received Rosaries. May they pray their new Rosaries together.

Two guys, who looked like they were down on their luck, stopped. One was carrying a guitar and wanted a Rosary, but he didn't know what it was for. E. Chuck explained the prayer and how the beads help you time your meditation. Our visitor replied that it sounded like music, the beads being like the musical notes. We agreed that there is indeed a tempo in the Rosary that changes us. May he let the Rosary and the life of Christ play in his heart.

Lots of people were out in the sunny Spring weather. Fewer dogs than last week were being walked but, still, none of the dog owners stopped for a Rosary. Yet, the three evangelists gave away 25 or so Rosaries and its pamphlets, as well as one "Problem of Suffering and Evil" pamphlet, and one pamphlet on the "Four Last Things".

Please pray for us again today? Please ask God to send people to us prepared to perceive their need for Jesus Christ Our Savior and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Spending time with Jesus, by delving deeply into the Mysteries, greatly changes things. So thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
