Prayer Brings Changes - 2021-12-19
December 27, 2021
[Prayer Brings Changes] Thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort. God keeps sending us out there.
Although the weather had been bitingly cold earlier in the day, it warmed up and was relatively pleasant during “our hour” last week. Then, at “closing time”, it got suddenly chilly again. God is good!
A professional hockey game was scheduled to start in the ice arena near “our spot”, and people began to queue early. It gave us lots of new visitors. Some Catholics generously offered donations (which we graciously declined, so as not to inadvertently sell blessed items).
Altogether, lots of people accepted Rosaries, although they showed little interest in receiving more than the most cursory explanation of the devotion.
Praise Report: A big thank you for your prayers for “Kelly” and “Candy” from a few weeks past. As you may recall, he’d had get a restraining order against her because of her violence, which in turn was due to her addiction to a very dangerous street drug. Two of you must have agreed in prayer to get the building cleaned up. Property Management suddenly decided to test the whole building and found so much residue from that drug in the common areas, that they evacuated all the residents until the hazardous waste cleanup crew can make it livable again (estimated to be about 2 weeks). May God grant salvation, safety, and healing for every person affected — residents, management, and cleanup workers!
Altogether, the two evangelists gave away around 20 Rosaries and its booklet, as well as a Divine Mercy prayer card.
Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts!
We must have each forgotten to ask our Guardian Angel to remind us of details from last week’s session. Or perhaps our notes this time were limited to leave enough time to compose the “praise report”, which I wasn’t able to do last week. So thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate! In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
“Go with the strength you have” (Judg 6:14).
