Stories from the Street

Seemingly out of the blue, this young man rushed up to us wanting information about how he could get back into his Catholic faith. He had left the faith for many years but truly felt he wanted to return. We gave him some inspirational CDs by John Martignoni and a pamphlet on Confession, along with Catholic Answers’ catechetical booklet “Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth.”
Since he was a student at the local university, he was strongly urged to get involved in the university’s vibrant Newman Club, which we hoped would help him find community along with rekindling his faith.
It is situations like these, we believe, are the fruits of the St Paul Street Evangelization “Prayer Warriors” team. Divine Providence, and their prayers, led this young man to us. Though we may plant seeds and water, it is God who causes the growth. Though another man sow, we may be called upon to reap the harvest.
