Jen is explaining the Gospel to this man. He was confused about the Church’s teaching on the Rosary. She explained it in accordance with the teaching of Pope John Paul II, that through its prayers and its meditations on the mysteries of the life of Christ, the rosary blends the spirituality of Mary with love and adoration of Christ:

“The Rosary, though clearly Marian in character, is at heart a Christocentric prayer. In the sobriety of its elements, it has all the depth of the Gospel message in its entirety, of which it can be said to be a compendium. It is an echo of the prayer of Mary, her perennial Magnificat for the work of the redemptive Incarnation which began in her virginal womb. With the Rosary, the Christian people sit at the school of Mary and are led to contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ and to experience the depths of his love. Also, a Catholic Deacon came by — he was visiting from Minnesota for a conference. We also got to pray over a lady who came by who was on furlough from prison. It was wonderful telling her about the love and forgiveness God has for all his children.
