Stories from the Street
Royal Oak, MI. While evangelizing at Royal Oak’s “Spooktacular,” a family-friendly Halloween event, an evangelist from the Royal Oak, Michigan SPSE team met a beautiful woman named Tanya. Tanya shared that because of a questionable thyroid nodule, she will undergo a biopsy next week. She mentioned that she was scared because cancer runs in her family and that her dad recently died of cancer. When asked about the health of other family members, she said that her only brother also has cancer. After praying together, she said she would like to be added to our prayer list and was reassured she would be prayed for by name for the next 30 days. She smiled, and thanked our evangelist.
Evangelizing is rather simple and it starts with a joyful greeting and prayerful listening. Our evangelists talk to people about faith and prayer, but also about what is going on in their lives, and they provide prayer and support. Would you consider joining us?
