Stories from the Street
Bloomington, IN. Our national director, Steve Dawson, is, unsurprisingly, quite experienced in street evangelization. Not only that, but his natural enthusiasm captures the attention of the people he encounters, and his zeal keeps him going for as long as they’ll stay with him. Put that together with an intelligent atheist with a seeking heart, and the two of them will go on for, well … (you guessed by the title) forty-five minutes!
The two of them talked on a wide swath of topics. Steve started by leading her through arguments for the existence of God. Since she wanted to hear more, he continued on to talk about the coming of Christ, his death and resurrection, and the reliability of the eyewitness accounts of the apostles; Pascal’s wager; and the miracle of the sun at Fatima. He also shared insights he gained from his own life and conversion. The young woman was interested in everything he had to say, and took lots of materials. The other evangelists kept looking over to see if they were still talking.
Please pray for this young woman, and her journey in search of truth.
