The following report comes to us from Br. John and our Society of Evangelists in Warren, MI:

After Mass ended today, I noticed a young lady come into the chapel. She prayed before the tabernacle and on her way out looked distraught. I introduced myself, and she said her name is Alaska. I asked her if she needed prayer and she said she did because her mom just discovered a tumor.

We prayed first for Alaska and, in tears, she experienced the presence of God for the first time. We then prayed for healing for her mom’s tumor and the conversation naturally moved to the four last things: death, judgment, heaven, and hell – but in a very gentle way. Alaska received a Miraculous Medal to give to her mom and, beaming with joy, was convinced an angel had been sent to her!

Praised be Jesus Christ! Our God loves all of His children, and certainly will make it known if we would only listen. May we strive to encourage all of those people we meet during evangelization to keep an open heart to God’s voice, and not forget to do it for ourselves either!
