The following report comes to us from evangelist Michael with our National SPSE team in Warren, MI:
Three evangelists came out on this cool October morning to evangelize at Eastern Market. The foot traffic was still decent, so we were able to talk with a variety of people who were out shopping for food, flowers, or just there to browse. Here are just a few of our conversations that stood out:
The first interaction Beth had was with a couple who admitted they needed prayers for their marriage. She was more than happy to pray with them and ask God to strengthen their relationship. Beth pointed out to me that the rate of divorce among couples who pray together is even lower than couples that use NFP (both are extremely low…around 2%)…perhaps something they could incorporate into their daily routines.
Next we met a student named Marty. He was extremely patient and polite, and listened to everything we had to say. Beth and Arianna explained to him the importance of following Jesus. While he didn’t ask many questions or give us a sense of what he thought of it all, we hope some of what we said sunk into his heart and he will start pursuing Our Lord.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
