This report comes to us from Br. John with our team in Warren, MI:
I was at the Dollar Store and asked the cashier who was in the picture on her necklace. She confided that it was her son who died last year on Father’s Day. She said he was only 15 and passed away from heart failure. I said that I’m so sorry and she said, “Thank you.” I asked her if she believed in Heaven and she said “Oh yes, I can’t wait to see him there.” I said, “And do you believe in Jesus?” And she said, “Yes I can’t wait to come to the gates and see him there waiting for me.”
As she was ringing up my items, I said, “You know, a priest told me that I should talk to my dad who passed away everyday because it will help me to get to know God as my perfect and good Father in Heaven.” She nodded her head and said, “Yes, I talk to my son everyday.” I said, “That is wonderful. I will pray for him and for you and God bless you!” She gave me my change and receipt and said thank you so much you too and have a wonderful Labor Day!
Praised be Jesus Christ!
