The Rosary appeals to people of all ages. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

First-time street evangelist “Debbie” joined us this session. People responded well to her friendly presence. Her lasting impression from her first evangelization session was the pleasant surprise that “so many people wanted Rosaries!” May God bless Debbie and we look forward to when she can join us again.

Just as I began setting up, and before I had any Rosaries on the table, a couple walked by. The woman loudly told the man that she “worshipped [the very enemy of her soul] and so didn’t need anything” from us. Lord, have mercy on her and lead her out of darkness and into Your life-giving light!

A group of three or four adults were walking by. Three of them declined our offer of a free Rosary, but the 4th man paused and then came to the table. His mom was Catholic, he said, and so he “knew about the Rosary”. One evangelist thought she detected a slight accent in his voice, so offered him the Rosary pamphlet in Spanish. He accepted it and chose a Rosary. We also encouraged him to “sit down and pray it”. Lord, draw him back to Your Church through the Rosary and in answer to his mother’s prayers.

A group of about four pre-teen or early teen boys and girls came to the table when one of the girls wanted a Rosary. They didn’t know anything about the Rosary but, when asked, said they knew that Jesus loves them and has an amazing plan for their life. We explained the Rosary devotion and, after they had each chosen one, encouraged them to pray it daily. Lord, protect them and draw them deep into Your Sacred Heart.

A man went by, saying no thank you to the Rosaries. However, when he was a few steps past us, he turned around and came back. He asked if he could have one for his mother, who is Catholic. Of course. Lord, hear this mother’s prayers, too, that her son return to the Sacraments.

Two girls in their early teens came to the table. They were non-Catholic Christians. After they listened to our explanation of how the Rosary can help them grow closer to Christ, each chose one for herself. Lord, draw them into a deep, life-long relationship with You.

A preschool-aged girl wanted a Rosary, and her mom came with her to the table. She chose the long chain one, which reached clear to her knees. The mom declined to receive one. But later in the session, they came back. The mom was wearing the chain one, and the girl now chose a shorter string Rosary with the same bright purple beads. Lord, use the beauty of the color to draw both mom and daughter to use their Rosary to get to know You.

The fountain in the center of the business park had been turned on, but the weather was a bit chilly for getting soaked. Thanks be to God, the sound system was off last week; so, despite the water noise from the fountain, we could easily make ourselves heard. Foot traffic was fairly light, but steady. We gave away another 20-25 Rosaries and its pamphlet on how to pray it.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Every single person is important to God, and it’s great to see how many are attracted to the Rosary. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
