Sometimes, we see God call a specific person to us. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

We saw “Olivier” and “Katie” again, the friendly couple who don’t seem to be believers. E. Lucy asked them to tell us their names again, so now we know. However, they didn’t visit further nor ask for a Rosary or anything. Lord, bless Olivier and Katie for treating us kindly and please lead them to You.

“Jennaya”, the young-adult woman with the apartment-organizing challenge from last week, stopped to give us an update. A church friend had come over to help her, and they’d gotten everything done in time. Her landlord was very pleased with how things now look. She had also taken our advice on keeping cool while working on cleaning her kitchen. She was very grateful for our prayers and for the support of her friend. Thank you, God, for your great mercy!

A homeless-looking woman with a slightly sunburned face stopped to tell us that she was praying the Rosary. She said, “I’ve really been doing it!” She was all smiles and excitedly told us that she was now clean and sober and getting her life in order. She was feeling a lot of peace and joy and was very grateful to God for His help. Lord, guide and protect her and give her the joy of always pleasing You!

A father, carrying a toddler, went by in a group of at least four people. He shook his head in what I took for a polite no thank you to our offer of a free Rosary. However, only a couple of minutes later, he came back to the table and chose a Rosary. No one else in the group came near.  We saw them pass by again later. Lord, bless that dad, renew his faith, and help him lead all those he loves to You and salvation.

A group of 4 young adults went by. The lone woman in the group came to the table for a Rosary. We saw them pass by again later, the woman trailing slightly behind the men. Lord, bless that woman for her courage to claim a Rosary. Grant her the protection and guidance she needs to follow You wholeheartedly.

A large, cheerful man came to the table for a Rosary. He spoke quite softly with his very deep voice. After choosing his Rosary, he thanked us. Lord, thank you for granting such a physically powerful man the willingness to be gentle. Please bless him and keep him safe on his journey to salvation in You.

Several people, each walking alone, came to the table in quick succession to choose a Rosary for him- or herself. Each of them told us that they were already familiar with the devotion. Lord, as they pray their new Rosary, reveal to them an inkling of just how much You love them!

A young-adult woman, with a beautiful perhaps 8-month-old baby in a stroller, stopped and wanted the Rosary that e. Nancy was holding. It would be for her baby daughter. The mom wanted a yellow one, said she was familiar with the Rosary, and accepted its pamphlet. The evangelist cautioned the mom against putting the string Rosary around the baby’s neck. Lord, keep both mom and baby safe and bring them to a deep, life-giving relationship with You.

A young-adult man, carrying a beautiful baby on his chest, stopped. He told us that his Rosary had worn out, and he wanted another. He selected a nice Rosary, was appreciative of the pamphlet, and was amazed that it was all free. He was accompanied by 2 women, but they didn’t interact with us. Lord, thank you for giving this dad the desire to pray the Rosary so often that he wears them out. Please encourage him to grow ever closer to You and help him lead those around him to love You, too.

Someone got out their wallet to offer a donation, but of course we don’t accept them. But Lord, please bless them for their generous thought.

A man stopped at the table but stayed seated on his bicycle. He seemed rather handicapped and possibly homeless. He also had a little speaker on his backpack that was playing loud rap music that included the name of Jesus (Christian rap?). He nodded his head in answer to e. Nancy’s question about whether he was familiar with the Rosary. He pointed to a blue one and wanted the Rosary pamphlet to go with it. He didn’t really respond further nor seem interested in talking. Lord, thank you for attracting him to the Rosary. You know his needs. Please bless and protect him.

Two different people stopped in response to our offer of a free Rosary. Each said something like, “Sure, I guess so. It’s free.” Each also accepted the Rosary pamphlet and listened to an explanation of the devotion. And each time, their face lit up as they chose their Rosary. Lord, You’ve drawn them to the Rosary. Please draw them into deep prayer while they think about the Mysteries.

A middle-aged man rode by on his bicycle. When asked, “Would you like a Rosary?” he stuck out his tongue and made a soft raspberry noise. Lord, You can touch hearts that are hot or cold. Please touch this man’s heart and lead him to You and salvation.

There were more groups that passed by, out of which only one person from the group came to talk to us. It seemed to happen more often last week than typical. Lord, thank You for drawing that one person to choose a Rosary and bless them through this devotion.

Foot traffic remained light last week. God granted us a solid cloud cover and a breeze through the business park’s fountain, both of which kept the temperatures comfortable. Thank you, God! Altogether, the two evangelists gave away another 15-20 Rosaries and its pamphlet, as well as a St Francis prayer card.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

God is still showing His love for each unique human heart. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
