God knows what we need. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

An event was being held in the east convention center. Many of its attendees were wearing Christian-themed t-shirts. When I offered them a free Rosary, however, if I received any response at all, I usually received a look of distaste. Lord, open their hearts to discover the unity that you wish for Your Church.

Meanwhile, an education session for service-dog trainers was going on in the sports arena. During a break, when all the trainers and their young dogs were out practicing basic skills, two of the trainers greeted me. Both were Catholic and already had Rosaries. Lord, bless their desire to help people with disabilities, and lead both trainer and the dog’s recipient to salvation.

During the session, two other long-time Catholics stopped to encourage our apostolate. The first was a woman with a pronounced east-coast manner. The second was a 50-ish man. He had been raised in a large, ethnically Catholic family. He has been blessed, he said, to never doubt the Faith. We talked briefly about some of the non-Catholic religions in the area and some of the challenges in evangelizing them. Lord, bless both of Your people for their encouragement and please keep them Faithful!

A family stopped. There were three children, perhaps 8, 6, and 2 years old. The two older children each chose a Rosary, but the parents didn’t. Lord, draw those children into a deep and living relationship with You, and let their faith attract their parents to/back to You.

Another family was going by. Although the parents seemed indifferent about religion, they said it was okay for the children to get a Rosary if they wanted one. Only one boy, maybe 8 years old, came to the table to choose one. I asked if he knew Jesus loved him and, after a brief hesitation, he said yes. I tried to quickly explain the Rosary devotion to the impatient lad and helped him pick out a bright royal blue one. Lord, draw Him to You and salvation.

A homeless-looking man broke away from his group to come for a Rosary. Two of his fellows ended up coming over, too. The first man chose a red Rosary, and then he asked if I would pray for him. I asked him what he wanted to ask of God, and he answered, “Protection.” I suggested he exchange the Rosary he had just chosen for our last one that included a St Benedict medal. Then I led the group in a prayer for the man’s protection and peace of mind. The other two men then also chose a Rosary apiece. Lord, You know the challenges these men are facing. Please grant them the ability to see the loving care You are showing them, even in the midst of difficulties. Please save them.

There was a nice, 30-something man with fairly big hair. His chosen Rosary wouldn’t go over his head, so I offered him one of our newly arrived chain Rosaries (may God bless all of our Rosary makers!!!). I’m afraid I don’t remember more of the encounter. I saw him again later in the session, but refrained from offering another Rosary when I recognized his big hair. (Or maybe that was my Guardian Angel nudging face-blind me so I wouldn’t be an annoyance. Thank you, God!) And Lord, please bless that man and draw him deeply into a life-long, saving relationship with You.

Weather was moderate. So was foot traffic. I was able to give away another 20-25 Rosaries and its pamphlet on how to pray it, as well as 2 St Francis prayer cards.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

God is still calling people to Himself. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
