Our team went out on Saturday at the Pasadena Indoor Flea Market and set up our table near the front door.  It is ALWAYS a great day when we go out because it is such a joy to spread the love of Jesus to those we encounter.  I like to engage people walking in by offering them a holy card with an image of Jesus on the Cross.  It is an engaging picture and once I have their attention, I invite them over to the table to pick out a rosary of their choosing and other items that we have for people in all walks of life, young and old.

It is always a pleasure and a great gift from God to have qualified and experienced evangelizers waiting at the table.  These evangelizers offer prayer for those who need prayer, encouragement to earnestly seek a relationship with Jesus, instruction in the Catholic faith and also offer counsel and wisdom as the Holy Spirit directs them.

I prayed for Rose who suffered from a terrible accident that had crushed her arm four months ago and for which she is still healing from all the surgeries.  She shed tears telling me how much she needed a prayer for healing.  I prayed for healing and relief of her suffering and gave her a rosary and encouraged her to return to the Catholic faith and go to Mass because Jesus is waiting for her there in the tabernacle.  People forget about that and so I encourage them to go to Him there and encounter Him in the blessed sacrament.  He wants to "feed" them His Body and Blood and also "feed" them through the words of the priest in the homily of the Mass.

We were joined by three young men who have stepped out in faith to evangelize.  Eric and Angel have joined us before and although they are all relatively new to evangelizing, they are ready with prayer for anyone who needs it.  I was so moved when I looked over and saw all three of them praying for an older woman.  In fact, I was so moved that I took a photo of them that I have attached.

If anyone is "on the fence" about evangelizing, I encourage you to come out with us and observe to see what we do and how we do it.  I think that you'll be amazed at how people respond and how enjoyable it is to evangelize.  We'll never know this side of heaven how we impact people and their faith.  We simply trust in God that His Will be done in their lives.
