During the Elsie Dairy Festival in Elsie, Michigan, on two very hot and humid July days, we had many encounters, gave away rosaries, miraculous medals, crucifixes and brochures. We had several encounters.

One of our encounters was with a Catholic family who haven't had electricity for more than 30 days. We gave them a list of local resources that may help them. We prayed with them that God would provide for them and that they keep the faith during this difficult time.

Another encounter was with a woman who shared she was Baptist but openly stayed and we discussed God. She later returned to let us know that she hoped her grandson would come down to talk with us because he was having a very bad day. Eventually, the grandson did come to our booth, just as we were about to leave for the day. He was about 20 years old and his girlfriend of 5 years had texted him the day before to break up with him. Soon after he opened up to us about his grieving, his sister came to our booth. We ended up talking with both of these young people for over 30 minutes about God. Before the young man and his sister left, the young man shared how much better he was feeling after talking with us. We invited him and his sister to our local Catholic Church and gave them our phone number so that we could go with them.

We met a young man, who shared he was Baptist. He openly talked about God with us. When we asked him if there was anything we could pray for him for, he said, "for the world to come to know who Jesus is."

The people who had a booth beside us were curious about what we were doing and openly talked with us about God. They are looking for a church to attend. We gave them our church Mass schedule and our phone numbers so that they could call us to talk more or for us to accompany them to Mass sometime.

Our next evangelization outing is Saturday, July 26th in Laingsburg, MI at the Summerfest.

It was a blessing to be placed in God's service.
