Summer Event Ellicott City

Created: Oct 1, 2026

This evangelization story comes from the team from Ellicott City, Maryland.

This summer, Saturdays have been very rainy, and several of our St. Paul Street Evangelization events had to be cancelled. Finally, we were blessed with a beautiful, dry, late summer Saturday.  We had a slow start with few visitors to our corner in Ellicott City, but soon our friend Steve came by.  He stops by most Saturdays to share how the Lord is working in his life.  We first met Steve last October when he shared his recovery story from addiction.   We gave him a miraculous medal and crucifix, explaining the power of leaning on our Lord and His mother for the strength to triumph over the clutches of addiction.  Over these past several months, these sacramentals have been an ongoing reminder of our Lord’s abundant graces being showered down on Steve.    Our Lord strengthens him each day to stay clean.  Steve is a witness to others and an inspiration to our team.  On this particular Saturday, Steve asked us for a few miraculous medals, crucifixes, and rosaries to share with the people he meets in his travels.  We prayed with him and for those people who he will be sharing his inspirational story in the future.

We then met a beautiful family with three children, and their youngest was very interested in a salvation story keychain we showed her.   We explain God’s love story of salvation with her and her family.  She told us that she wanted to tell the story to her friends.  Again, God was showing us how His messages doesn’t stay with us.  It is meant to be passed on.

We had the pleasure of meeting several other people who shared their prayer needs.   We were able to pray for the grandfather of a young man who was in hospice.  We prayed for the sick grandfather and for his family.   Another man stopped by our table with his family.    They recently moved to America, and he was looking for a job in the area of Information Technology.   We prayed for him to find work and for blessings for his family.   Another couple walked by.  The husband moved passed the table, but the wife stopped.  She told us her husband was suffering with cancer.   We gave her miraculous medals for both of them.  We also gave her a St. Peregrine prayer card – the patron saint for people with cancer.   We prayed with her for the healing of her husband and for strength for herself.   She needs our Lord’s patience and fortitude as she supported her husband on his journey.

Our team left with great hope and peace.   We were blessed to talk and pray with people who were open to prayer and receiving the abundant graces of our Lord Jesus.  Additionally, these people will continue to spread the Good News of God’s Kingdom to those they meet.  Praise God!
