The One worth Pursuing – 2026-Sep-27

Created: Oct 4, 2026

The Rosary’s Christ-centeredness makes it a powertool tool for conversion. So, thank you again for your prayers for the Boise Catholic street evangelization effort.

  • Most of the business park was blocked off by a neat picket fence, the interior set up for an event that would feature live music. We chose to set up our table just outside the main plaza circle at the mouth of the south walkway, more or less across the walkway from our usual spot. No one asked us to move (Thank you, God! Thank you, St Joseph). Surprisingly, the obstruction increased foot traffic past us. Since the business park didn’t look like a construction zone (like it did last week), the fencing just served to funnel everyone close to our table.
  • A man stopped for a Rosary. (He was accompanied by a pre-teen daughter, who quietly watched and listened but said nothing.) When we asked the man if he were familiar with the Rosary devotion, his answer betrayed that he was an inactive Catholic. We pulled out a map to area parishes, pointing out the nearest parish, and encouraged him to get reconnected. He seemed appreciative. Lord, draw him back to You and the Sacraments. And may his daughter follow his lead.
  • Another Catholic man stopped. He was accompanied by his wife and three children (ranging from about 8-14 years of age). After they each chose a Rosary, we had a brief discussion, the details of which I’m afraid I don’t remember. Lord, keep them active in Your Church and continue to bless the family with peace.
  • A woman stopped because she has “a Catholic friend who’s getting married” and she wanted to give her a Rosary for a present. At least one of the evangelists picked up on the sense that this wouldn’t be a valid marriage in the eyes of the Church. May the reception of the Rosary prompt its recipient to pray and receive the grace to break free of all sinful attachments.
  • Steady foot traffic went into and out of the main convention center where, one of our visitors told us, a conference was being held for a big-name heavy equipment company. [However, that didn’t quite explain all the men who entered carrying golf bags and shoes.] Most of the conference’s attendees were from out of State. The visitor who told us about the conference wanted a Rosary for his teenage daughter. He was Catholic, from the opposite corner of the country. Lord, bless the daughter, protect her, and grant her a living Faith!
  • Meanwhile, behind us, the sports arena was busy with pickup hockey games, and many players and their families passed by our table. A few of them stopped for a Rosary. Lord, bless each of the people who took time out from pursuing entertainment to spend a moment thinking about You and the salvation that You alone can bring.
  • “Isabella”, a young-adult woman, came to our table radiating joy. She had just come from Mass. She is from another country and has been here working at a summer camp. She loves to pray and was so happy to see us there. She took a Rosary. E. Clare asked if she could pray for an Isabella the evangelist knows, whose mother is losing her battle with cancer. Our visitor said she would be honored to do that, and she thanked us repeatedly for being here. Lord, grant Visitor Isabella safe travel home and hear our prayers for Suffering Isabella and her mother.
  • A man tried to make a donation because he was so grateful to see our witness in the public square. We don’t accept money, but we asked if he would help us pray for the conversion of all the people we encounter. He and his wife said they definitely would! Lord, please continue to bless and protect all those who pray for us!
  • Four college-aged women stopped at our table to receive a Rosary and its booklet on how to pray with it. One said she was a non-Catholic Christian but was interested in going to a Catholic Mass. E. Clare invited her to join her at the Mass she usually attends. Lord, open our visitor’s eyes to the beauty and deep meaning of the Mass.
  • During the last 15 minutes of the session, the event band began warming up. Their music was so loud that people couldn’t hear us even 3 feet away. I asked Jesus to quiet things down, but his answer was evidently no. So, then I prayed for the conversion of the band members and anyone who would be listening to them. The noise immediately stopped. Thank you, God!
  • Altogether, we gave away a good 30-35 Rosaries and its pamphlet, a Divine Mercy prayer card, and a map of area parishes.

Please pray for us again today? Ask God to send people to us with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes of today’s efforts.

Our Blessed Mother continues to lead people to her Son, Jesus Christ, through the Rosary. So, thank you again for your prayers and other support for this apostolate. In turn, may God protect and greatly bless you and all those you love!
