Main Street- 10/3/26
From Ingrid:
Today we went out to the main street to share the love of Jesus and offer people a free rosary and an invitation to prayer.
It was not an easy outing. Many people declined, and some of the conversations were challenging. But there were also small moments that reminded me why we go.
One woman who had recently moved to the area accepted a rosary and a brochure explaining how to pray it. I invited her to our church, and she also accepted the information. Another person wanted to talk specifically about Jesus, and although the conversation took an unexpected turn, I was grateful for the opportunity to speak about Jesus\' love for us and His desire for a personal relationship with each one of us.
We also encountered someone who strongly disagreed with our devotion to Mary and the saints. Rather than arguing, I tried to explain that our love and honor for Mary never takes anything away from Jesus. He is our Savior, and our desire is always to lead people closer to Him.
Today reminded me that evangelization is not about how many people accept a rosary, agree with us, or have a long conversation. We are called to go out, to offer, to listen, to speak about Jesus with love, and then to leave the results in God\'s hands.
Sometimes we see the seed being planted. Sometimes we may never know what happens afterward.
But God knows.
So even when an outing feels difficult or disappointing, we keep going. We trust that He can work through even the smallest encounter.
Lord, help us to be faithful, humble, patient, and courageous. May every person we encounter be drawn closer to You.
