Fantastic Day of Prayer and Listening

Huge weeklong Chasco festival in nearby town! Decided to walk the streets and engage folks as we go along.

Our newest members Dave and Marie joined us!SPSE Team Photo

It was so much fun to talk to so many people! as they lined the streets to get ready for the parade and watched the boat races.

We prayed with Riley a young woman who has health issues.

Detria who was knitting a beautiful sweater for her mom who has health issues and is always cold.  We prayed for her mom, Detria and her two children and her husband.

We meet a mom (Cat) and her daughter who were all set up to watch the marching band as son/grandson (Stretch) played trombone in the band.  The band just won nationals!  We prayed for them all and for Cat's shoulder which was very painful for her.

A man from Church of Christ took out photo but didn't want any prayers.

Meet a get-together of multiple families for this annual occasion and spoke to them about Christ, Christian concerts and prayer.

We meet a man trying to get signatures for pot to be on the next ballot, asked him if he wanted prayers but he got mad when he saw Joe's hat that said he was Catholic, told us he didn't want anything to do with us or the pope.  We silently prayed for his soul.

We went inside the newly renovated Hacienda Hotel and meet two couples that wanted prayer!

Meet Ralph and his wife Carina, they have 3 children so we prayed with them ..one child was going for his master's and another found a new girlfriend.  They were part of a group that is in the parade.  We prayed for them to be safe and have fun.. Thier theme is Key West.  They participate in many festival parades and find this one is their favorite because it's so family friendly. SPSE Team Photo

Meet a couple from up north and we prayed all together as a group!

Prayed for Donny's shoulder to heal

Ran into a huge annual gathering along the parade route and spoke to many people.  and gave them Jesus (little rubber Jesus's) to put into their Easter eggs for the kids.  Many of the group where Christians and one participates as a cook at a summer camp for foster kids, very heartfelt!

Joe noticed an elderly man (Pete) sitting by himself and engaged him in conversation including his WWII experiences and he was from Long Island near where Joe grew up.   He asked for prayer to be a younger version when he is resurrected.  Pete was very grateful that he was noticed and that we took the time to talk with him.  He's gets lonely but loves living in Florida.

Until next time!  Fish Fry Friday at St. Petes!
