Our St. Columba Church team evangelized at the Durango Farmers Market on Saturday, June 27th.  The Holy Spirit brought Dan to our table with an open heart.  Through listening and befriending him, we learned that Dan is seeking more meaning, purpose and truth in his life, and is curious about Catholicism.  We shared with him that the Catholic Church is the church that Jesus founded, as confirmed by the Apostles and Church Fathers who wrote about and practiced Catholicism from the very beginning.  We further explained how the Catholic Church is guided by the Holy Spirit and is the fullness of the Christian faith that God has given to us to unite us to him, and to give us abundant life, love and joy in this life and the next.  We prayed with Dan, gave him a sacramental and invited him to our parish.  We pray the Holy Spirit will water the seeds we planted and bring Dan closer to Jesus and the Catholic Church.

Many other people came to our table to receive a free rosary or miraculous medal, and talk about the faith.  We had blessed encounters where we answered questions, gave testimony to the faith and good reasons why we're Catholic, we prayed for people, and invited them to OCIA and the Catholic Church.  The Holy Spirit is doing good work with our team and our community!

God Bless,
