The following report comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:
The annual rock music festival was taking place in the area surrounding “our business park”. The festival HQ and check-in point were in the convention center, but the park itself was quiet. A man walked briskly by, a slight frown on his face. Offered a Rosary, the frown deepened. “No. I attended seminary at one time, but now I’ve grown up.” Lord, heal him and bring him back to his First Love!
A group of three teenage girls stopped because one wanted a Rosary. She listened politely to the brief explanation and accepted the Rosary and pamphlet. She seemed unsure whether she was a Christian, so I gave her a copy of the kerygma and encouraged her to read it. “It may be the most important thing you’ve ever read.” The other two girls declined receiving Rosaries Later on, the same girl came back with two different teenagers. Both of these young women said they were Christian. Each accepted a Rosary and its brochure, as well as the encouragement to pray it. May God bless our young evangelist. Lord, save her and bring her all the way to You and Your Church!
A non-Catholic Christian man stopped because, he said, his Catholic wife was always trying to get him to pray the Rosary. Once he discovered the Rosary was a tool for deepening our relationship with Christ, he chose one. Then he paused and asked for a second one for his wife, who was a block or so away at the music festival. “Have her pray it with you”, I suggested. “I was just thinking of that!” the man replied. May Our Blessed Mother draw him all the way home in the Catholic Church!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Please pray for God to send people to this team with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes from their efforts.
