The following report comes to us from team leader Lucy with our team in Boise, ID:
Although the weather had been bitter cold earlier in the day, it warmed up and was relatively pleasant during our hour last week. Then, at “closing time”, it got suddenly chilly again. God is good! A pro hockey game was scheduled to start in the ice arena near our spot, and people began to queue early. It gave us lots of new visitors. Some Catholics generously offered donations, which we graciously declined, so as not to sell blessed items. Lots of people accepted Rosaries, although they showed little interest in receiving more than the most cursory explanation of the devotion.
Praise Report: A big thank you for your prayers for “Kelly” and “Candy” from a few weeks ago. As you may recall, he had to get a restraining order against her because of her violence, which in turn was due to her addiction to a very dangerous drug. Property Management suddenly decided to test the whole building and found so much residue from that drug in the common areas, that they evacuated all the residents until the hazardous waste cleanup crew can make it livable again (estimated to be about 2 weeks). May God grant salvation, safety, and healing for every person affected — residents, management, and cleanup workers!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Please pray for God to send people to this team with hearts prepared to perceive their need for Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, and that much good fruit for His Kingdom comes from their efforts.
