Stories from the Street

Phoenix, AZ. Jesus told his disciples, “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.” (John 15:18). He also warned of those who were lukewarm or indifferent: “So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot or cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” (Rev. 3:16) Finally, those who are disciples will “have love for one another.” (John 13:35). Which should come as no surprise, since he told us these reactions to him ahead of time in scripture. Whatever the reaction people might have, we must press on in sharing the truth with the world.
