Stories from the Street
Our Phoenix, Arizona team checks in! After a successful Basic Evangelization Training in Phoenix last year, the team is back in the news. This time, they evangelized on Superbowl weekend when thousands of visitors were in town. The Boston Globe ran an article about their efforts, even though they didn’t mention their affiliation with SPSE.
The team reports:
“Ask Dave Tucker and other parishioners who “worked” The NFL Experience… not even cloudy, wet weather could dampen their experience! In Dave’s words, “We shared great conversations with everyone from protestant ministers, fallen away Catholics, those curious about Catholicism, and others—and handed out more than 1,000 rosaries in two days. We were next to a very lively corner near St. Mary’s Basilica and even had a group travel down from NAU to help out on Saturday. They had a wonderful experience and it was great to get some young faces out talking about the Good News.”
