The following report comes to us from Br. John with our Society of Evangelists:
After Mass, I went to walk around the shrine and pray. After praying a bit, I noticed a woman was sitting and praying too. As I continued to pray, I was inspired to give her a Miraculous Medal. I said hello and asked her if she needed prayer for anything and she said yes. She was struggling with her diet and I admitted that I was too. We talked and then prayed for this intention. Then she told me that before I came, she hoped that someone would come to talk to her about the questions she had about God and struggles in her life. Wow! Thanks be to God!
We covered all the things on her mind and the goodness of God in our lives. She had questions on how to pray so we talked about that and prayed together. We asked Jesus to come with his presence, speak to her heart, and fill her with His Spirit. She said it was so wonderful and she had never prayed in that way. Then she said a prayer for me and my vocation. I gave her a Miraculous Medal, medal card, and gospel card. As she put the medal and chain around her neck, I invited her to our weekly prayer group. We blessed each other again before parting.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
