The following story comes to us from team leader Fr. Ignatius with our team in Griswold, CT:
The newly founded Griswold, CT Team hit the streets this week…in New Bedford, MA! That’s right, we’re willing to travel and evangelize wherever we might find ourselves. This particular outing called to mind the Gospel passage of Lk. 4:18, “I came to evangelize the poor”. As usual, we began with prayer, then set up our table just outside the bus station. We had plenty of foot traffic and there was no need for fancy apologetics, but just a loving heart, ready to be present to the individual, ready to listen, pray and give words and signs (Miraculous Medals) of hope and encouragement. Almost everyone we encountered very gladly accepted a medal; very many wanted rosaries and the accompanying pamphlet on how to pray it; a few were interested in knowing the Mass times at Our Lady’s Chapel, just a block from the buses. All in all, a massively blessed moment on the street in New Bedford. Ave Maria!
Praised be Jesus Christ!
