This story comes to us from evangelist Eric with our team in Joliet, IL:
A recent high school graduate said he is joining the Navy soon, and said he’s allowed to bring two religious items per their rules. After we gave him a medal, he was excited to say that it would be one of them.
A teenager approached our table with her mother and shared that she attends a Catholic high school and was glad to take a Rosary. Her mom was “non-denominational”, and I was able to share a few of the pamphlets with her and witness to our belief in the Real Presence. She was very open and thankful.
Ernie, a police officer working at the festival, said he wanted a medal to protect him during his shifts. We were able to give him a St. Benedict medal. Let’s hope he continuously wears it and calls on the saints, especially St. Benedict, to keep him safe.
An Orthodox father and son and family stopped by and said “Jude” was an important name in their family. They were so excited we had St. Jude medals and even a St Jude prayer card.
Another man gladly took a Rosary and said he really needs to go back to Church.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
