The following story comes to us from Colin, a St. Paul Online School student:
I have had the opportunity to share my testimony in so many different ways. My wife and I have such incredible testimonies. In 2023, my wife was suffering from a debilitating illness with no cure (hyperkalemic periodic paralysis) and I was suffering from mental health issues. Today my wife is completely healed and my suffering has been replaced with joy all through the power of the Holy Spirit in prayer. I share versions of this testimony several times a week at least, I do everything from putting this testimony in letters and sending it to strangers to cold calling people on the phone to sharing it with those that I meet on the street. There’s something so powerful and so amazing about being able to share what the Lord has done in our life to others and to help it and kindle the faith of others. I recently shared our testimonies to a young Protestant I met on the street and it was a great conversation starter about the Church. It raised his intrigue that maybe there is something more to the Church than he imagined. We’ve met twice since then and even though he remains a Baptist, we have an ongoing dialogue and he has a new interest (or at least respect) for the Catholic Church.
