The following report comes to us from team leader Lucy in Boise:

If we waited to be perfect, we’d never evangelize.

A group of seven or eight young adult women stopped by. They were happily Catholic and involved at their university’s Newman Center. Grateful that we were “out here,” two chose Rosaries—then one quietly slipped a second into her friend’s pocket. We gladly gave her an extra booklet to share. We thank God for their living faith and pray their witness draws many to Christ.

Later, two grade-school boys approached our table while a woman trailed behind them. She initially declined a free Rosary, but the boys eagerly asked permission. Once she gave it, the whole family gathered around. As we explained the Rosary, she decided to take one too, saying, “it couldn’t hurt.” We assured her it would help her grow closer to God, who became man and died for us. The children excitedly swapped Rosaries and asked questions, including the best one of the day from the younger boy: “So, what is prayer?” We were happy to answer. Pray that this family grows in faith and deeper conversion.

One man removed his earpiece to listen but grew uncomfortable when he realized the Rosary was Christian. Sensing this, we let him go. (And yes, I recognize that that was probably a mistake on my part.) Lord, heal his heart and draw him back to You.

A middle-aged couple also stopped. The man was Catholic; the woman had doubts and seemed hesitant to engage. We emphasized how Christ-centered the Mysteries are, but she declined a Rosary. As they walked away, he jokingly said he’d sneak one into her pocket. Pray that her heart opens to the joy of salvation.

Storm clouds gathered overhead, yet the Lord kept us dry. Though foot traffic was lighter than usual, spirits were positive. We gave away 25–30 Rosaries with pamphlets, along with several Divine Mercy and Our Lady Undoer of Knots prayer cards.

Please pray for us again today, that God sends hearts ready to encounter Jesus Christ and His Church, and that much fruit comes from these efforts. God knows how imperfect we are, and still He works through us. Thank you for your prayers and support. May He bless and protect you and all those you love.
