The following report comes to us from team leader Sharon with our St. Raphael parish team in Crystal, MN:
We’re off to a fantastic start with our Free Food, Friendship & Faith (FFF&F) community outreach! With two events already behind us, we’ve welcomed over 120 attendees so far. This event targets parish school families with the principal and the preschool director in attendance. Despite the rain moving us indoors, the evening was a resounding success with more than 80 participants!
A woman asked me if there was anyone from the school there at the event. I called over the preschool director, Berta, and she spoke with the woman and her daughter. The young girl registered for school in the fall and wanted to learn more about the school and teachers.
I had a conversation with a bilingual couple—they accepted a Spanish Bible and inquired if we have any Bible studies. I said the Bible study we currently offer is during the day. Phil, another evangelist, invited them to a small group opportunity called “Parents as Primary Educators”.
The St. Paul Street Evangelization and Reaching for Faith teams are deeply grateful for the incredible volunteers who make these events possible. You are living examples of our goal: to love our neighbors as ourselves and to proclaim the Gospel in both word and deed.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
