The following story comes to us from team leader Michael with our team in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan:
Every few months, I get together with my longtime friend Matthew for lunch. Since our work hours are opposite of each other, it has to be lunch. We sat down and enjoyed catching up while we ate our meals. Our waitress “Kristie” was kind and attentive, but there wasn’t much conversation made…so there wasn’t much opportunity for evangelization.
I couldn’t just let the opportunity pass though, and was determined to give her a blue Miraculous Medal w/ chain and holy card. So after paying at the front cash register, I found her over at the service counter. I explained to her that I enjoy handing out Miraculous Medals to people I meet, and that Our Lady promised special graces to anyone who wears it faithfully. She seemed open and grateful, and I think I heard her say “God bless you”, although not very audibly.
Nothing dramatic…just a small encounter. But even the smallest seed, planted in faith, can bear fruit in ways we may never see. Please join me in praying that this tiny seed will yield an abundant harvest in Kristie’s life.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
