This report comes to us from evangelist Mary Ann with our Somerville-Immaculate Conception parish team in NJ:
It was a very active and fruitful day on Main Street on Saturday. A quick overview: We spoke, prayed and gave out many pamphlets to numerous men, women and families. One young man is discerning religious life or priesthood. We spoke and prayed together asking for guidance . He showed me his backpack. with his Bible, Book of Psalms, etc in it. He was excited and grateful that we Catholics were out evangelizing. We have had that reaction from many every time we go out.
Another young man goes to a non-denominational church. We spoke about the importance of receiving the real presence in Holy Communion, the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus. We spoke about the power of Confession and the peace of Adoration. We gave him a pamphlet, “Why be Catholic”.
We spoke to a woman about what the rosary is all about and how praying it has been so powerful in our life. We spoke to a man from Jerusalem and the many issues of the Jews, Christians and Muslims. One woman was having a problem with our current pope. We decided that we need to pray the rosary for him to guide our church.
We gave out many Gospel cards and spoke of how Jesus died and rose for us . How dearly Jesus loves us and wants our heart.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
