The following report comes to us from team leader Lucy in Boise, Idaho:
An animal-rights group had already taken our usual spot, so we set up across the plaza. Even before the table was ready, a young couple stopped to choose Rosaries. Though they thought they already knew about the devotion, it became clear they only knew it as a family heirloom. Chuck explained how and why to pray the Rosary with reverence. Please pray they seek a deeper conversion to Christ.
Soon afterward, a college-aged man accepted a Rosary while his friend walked away in disgust. The young man admitted he had stopped going to church after returning to the United States, saying he felt pressured to attend rather than drawn to it. Chuck explained the beauty of the Eucharist, the grace of the Sacraments, and why we need Christ. The man accepted a Rosary and listened attentively. Pray that the Rosary leads him back to Jesus and His Church.
A group of teens mostly declined our offer, but one curious young man stopped to learn about Jesus and the Rosary. After receiving a Rosary and a Good News pamphlet, several of his friends returned to get Rosaries as well. May the Lord draw each of them into a lifelong relationship with Him.
Later, a conference attendee approached with questions about the Rosary. As Chuck explained the devotion, four members of the nearby animal-rights group quietly listened from a short distance. One of them eventually stepped forward, took a Rosary, and left before we could offer him a pamphlet. An older woman also selected a Rosary without saying much. Please pray that everyone who received a Rosary will be drawn closer to Christ through Our Lady.
A woman who initially seemed uninterested surprised us by asking for a Rosary to send to her daughter. Then a man on a skateboard stopped, admitting he wasn’t sure whether Jesus loved him or had a plan for his life. We shared the Gospel through the Mysteries of the Rosary and gave him a Good News pamphlet. Please pray for his conversion.
Although foot traffic was light, we distributed 20–25 Rosaries and Rosary pamphlets, along with a couple of Good News pamphlets. Please continue praying that God prepares hearts to encounter Jesus Christ and His Church through this apostolate.
