The following report comes to us from team leader Nancy with our team in Gaithersburg, MD:
Last week our team went out and met some high schoolers who were meeting at the bus stop to have a reunion before they went back to school. I initially met Steve who was the first one to arrive. He asked what we were giving out for free and it was a great opportunity to share a little of my testimony with him and share the gospel. He gladly received a Benedictine cross, Miraculous Medal and Good News pamphlet. His friends arrived at that point and he shared with them what he received. Romans 10:17 says ” So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” They were all given the Good News pamphlet and I asked them if they had grown up in the faith. The majority of them did and one of them was even from our parish and belonged to the youth group. It was so refreshing to meet these teens and encourage and affirm them in the faith. May God continue to bless and protect them.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
