This following story comes to us from evangelist Ruth in Conway, SC:
I have a neighbor who went to Catholic grammar school but is unchurched. She shared that her youngest son worries a lot but she bought him a prayer rock & told him to pray to the rock. I told her she needs to tell him to pray to Jesus. A rock is not going to do what Jesus can.
Last week we were talking & I shared Matt 7:13-14–that being a nice person is not the key to getting into heaven, that we enter through the precious blood of Jesus. BAM! The Holy Spirit hit a nerve as it was the first time I saw anger in her eyes. Come Holy Spirit and work on the mind, ears, mouth, soul, heart for thirst for the truth of the Gospel and salvation. Thank you for what you are doing! Use me! In Jesus name. AMEN!
