What is Adventageous?
Advent is the four-week season of prayer and preparation where the faithful anticipate and prepare for Christ’s “coming” in a threefold way:
- The historical coming of Jesus as a baby in Bethlehem.
- The Second Coming of Christ at the end of time to judge the living and the dead.
- The coming of Christ into our hearts through grace and the Sacraments.
Like Lent, Advent is considered a season of waiting, reflection, and conversion. It is a period for spiritual renewal, and a turning of our hearts and minds toward God.
With that in mind, we are inviting you to journey with us through these four weeks by signing up for our Advent Evangelization Challenge where we’ll do our best to perform a small act of love each day beginning on Sunday, November 30 and ending on Christmas Eve.
Check out the Calendar, and sign up today!
Do I have to participate every day?
The goal is to join us for the full four weeks of Advent by performing one small act of love each day, starting Sunday, November 30 and ending on Christmas Eve.
If you’re part of a local SPSE team, you can go out and evangelize together during this time. If you’re participating individually, you can still share your faith through small, personal encounters—inviting someone to Mass, praying with a coworker, giving away a Miraculous Medal, or simply encouraging someone who’s struggling.
The challenge is not about perfection; it’s about consistency. Every act of love, no matter how small, prepares the way for Christ.
What happens when we’re done?
After December 24th, submit your story to stories@stpaulse.com of your experience evangelizing. Make sure to put Adventageous in the subject line. We want to hear all about your encounters…were they receptive to what you had to say? Do you plan on talking to them again about our Catholic faith? Were there any challenges?
