THE HARVEST IS RIPE! (JOHN 4:35)

March 2, 2026

As we have been at our present location for many, many years. there is a real grace in getting to know the people at the bus terminal over these years.  God put me in contact again with one such person, Raymond, and every time we meet, it is an opportunity to draw him closer and closer to God.  I pray every day for God to free him from his addiction to alcohol and return to the Catholic church as he is a baptized Catholic.  We have prayed together many times, but this time was different.  He was not under the influence and was very clear minded.  I suggested to him that this is a time of grace being Lent and for him to go to confession and go back to church.   He actually was very eager to receive the confession pamphlet that our church provides for examining your conscience.  To my surprise he said he was going to go to the 5:00 Mass at the local church that day!  He thanked me so much and hopped on the next bus.  God is so good.

Sheila, Amparo and I went out last Thursday and it was very busy.  So glad that Amparo was able to join us, as she is very much needed to reach the Spanish community.  Sheila talked to a women, Tina, whom I had prayed with a week before.  She was one of the woman who asked for prayers to leave her lifestyle of drinking. It was a beautiful exchange. However, Sheila reported back that she was not yet able to give up drinking.  Tom and I went out last Saturday and I saw Tina again.  I  prayed with her and she again gave her life to God.  She shared with us that so many family members are encouraging her to get into an AA program and she is very aware that this is the hand of God reaching out to her.  Tom also gave her a group that she can contact.  We pray that she follows through.

Tom and I met Steven below who was eager to receive information about the Catholic church.  He said it was just what he was looking for and to learn more about being baptized.  We also met Kevin who attends an evangelical church and was interested in looking into the Catholic church.  May God guide both of young adults to the fullness of the truth.

We pray that this little chapter would continue to bear much fruit for God's kingdom and Our Lady guide us.
