Evangelism at Columbus State Community College
January 2, 2024
While leading an evangelization at Columbus State Community College we had many good conversations with the students there. The Holy Spirit was working and bringing young adults to our table with questions about the Catholic faith. Here are a few stories of our encounters:
One girl was interested in Catholicism and stayed to talk for a while.
Another student was Protestant with questions about the intercession of the saints. She showed great interest in the biblical, historical, and miraculous evidence we gave and took information.
We met a girl who doesn’t go to church. She took a Gospel of Luke and was so excited for us to pray for her.
A Christian without a Bible of her own took one.
Lastly, a young man who struggles to identify himself as a Catholic because of concerns with beliefs talked to us for some time and took a rosary.
Please say a Hail Mary, praying that Our Lady will lead all these souls to her Son Jesus!
A Light in the Darkness
June 6, 2023
First, a man threw our fetal models into the street. Then a student told us, “Good luck evangelizing here! Most of us are trans and everyone is pro-choice!” Our Torchbearers outreach at the Columbus College of Art and Design did not seem bright. It was the first time we had been to this campus. As we asked for grace from the Holy Spirit to help us press on, we started to hand out rosaries, Miraculous Medals, and lots of pamphlets on questions about the Catholic faith. Before we knew it, we had the largest crowd we have ever experienced respectfully asking questions about abortion, contraception, sexuality, and the gospel! Even in places that seem the darkest, souls are longing for truth. We hope we were able to be salt and light and do these people justice by sharing the good news.
