Welcome to the Missionaries of the Real Presence page.

We are a group of lay men discerning a charism for religious life of contemplative missionaries. We live in community at St Catherine's Parish on Milwaukee's northside devoting ourselves to prayer and evangelization of the neighborhoods surrounding our parish. We pray the Liturgy of the Hours each day in the parish church and open it up to the public. The time in between prayer we spend on our apostolate of mission work.

We walk the streets 6 days a week and are open to have you come and walk with us Monday through Saturday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

Our daily schedule is as follows for those who would like to evangelize with us, you may contact us to set up a time or just show up for daytime prayer at noon each day at St. Catherine's Catholic Church at 5131 W Center St. Milwaukee, WI 53210

Office of Readings & Morning Prayer - 6:30 am

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - 6:30 am - 7:50 am

Rosary 7:30 am

Daily Mass on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8:30 am

Apostolate work begins at 9:30 am after missionaries eat breakfast on their own

Daytime prayer 12:00 pm

Community Lunch open to neighbors and others 12:15pm

Apostolate work restarts after lunch

Evening Prayer 5:30 pm

 

We seek to carry out the saving mission of the Catholic Church by building up local parishes in highly non-Catholic areas. We live a life of prayer and community as Catholic men seeking to follow Christ. Our communal life of prayer and common goal of salvation enables us to witness a genuine Christian life to our neighbors as we open the doors of our hearts and our home to reach out to them and invite them to participate in the life of our community and the life of the Church.
