St. Paul Street Evangelization: Alamo Ranch Chapter

January 24, 2022

Hello,

I am in the process of starting this February, either at San Fernando Cathedral or another site.  I will post the place and time in another communication.

(I really wanted to set up at the Main Plaza this past December. but I had to deal with a mental health issue with my daughter, who had to undergo a MRI.

With God's Will, I will be able to continue with the St. Paul Street Evangelization.)

Things are really crazy in this world.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) states in paragraph 675:

Before Christ second coming the church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.

It is like the church is carrying the cross towards Calvary.   We, as believers, must then depend on the Faith of our Fathers.  Do not forsake our sacramental spirit, our sacrificial spirit, and our prayerful spirit.  Jesus informs St. Faustina that mercy is shown in three ways: by words, by deeds and by prayers.  St John Paul II says that mercy is love's second chance.  The prayer below is from St. John Paul II.

God, I want to see Jesus in my daily prayers.  I want to see Jesus in the Sacraments, especially in the Holy Eucharist.  I want to see Jesus in other people, in the faces of those I love and in the faces of those I find so difficult to love.  I want to see Jesus behind in distressing faces of the poor, the sick, the lonely, the homeless, and the marginalized.   I want the eyes to see Jesus' will in my daily life, in the present and ultimately for the future.  I want to see Jesus forever, face to face in Heaven smiling on me with love.

In Christ,

Louis Gonzales

“Main Plaza by the San Fernando Cathedral”

The Cathedral of San Fernando is located in downtown San Antonio, Texas. This cathedral is one of the oldest in the United States, built between 1738 and 1750 by sezzzttlers from the Canary Islands. Presently, it serves as the mother church of the Archdiocese of San Antonio and the seat of the Archbishop.
Lately, for the past few months, we have gone to the Cathedral of San Fernando in the Main Plaza to evangelize. Our evangelization has been successful.

Alamo Ranch Chapter

September 24, 2019

The Alamo Ranch Chapter is starting this June/July 2018. The sole intentions for this chapter are to praise and glorify the Lord.

As of March 2019, our members have recently evangelized by the Fort Sam Houston neighborhood, distributing leaflets, entitled “Why Be Catholic” and the “Problem with Suffering.” On June 15, 2019, we have met at the Main Plaza by the San Fernando Cathedral from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Several pictures have been taken at this event, and these pictures are now available for viewing. The latest team outing has occurred at the same location on July 19, 2019. A few pictures have been taken at that outing, too. On August 16th, we will meet at the Main Plaza by the San Fernando Cathedral. August is the month of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The August Meet Up has occurred (and it was hot outside!),and we are looking forward for September’s activities. Maybe it will be cooler in September. Please check September’s Calendar.

In addition, we have received over 8,000 blessed Miraculous Medals from the Association of the Miraculous Medals. These blessed medals have been distributed to the various Catholic churches in the San Antonio area. We have ordered an additional 5,000 blessed holy medals. Hopefully, we will receive those medals and distribute them as soon as possible.

We welcome any new members to join us in our evangelization efforts. As stated in the introduction, our intentions are to praise and glorify the Lord.
