How to Share Your Faith Story in Two Minutes: free workshop
September 16, 2019
Have you ever been put on the spot and asked “Why are you Catholic, anyway?” Saint Paul Street Evangelization regional missionary Dr. Deb McManimon will run a one hour workshop, “How to share your faith story in two minutes” on Sunday, September 17, starting at noon at Saint Mary’s Parish, Marian Hall. The event is free, open to the whole Winona Catholic community, and you don’t have to be involved in Saint Paul Street Evangelization to attend and enjoy! Please consider bringing a dish or snack to pass; we’ll provide paper plates, utensils, and water….this is more like a “snackluck” than a “potluck.”
1 Peter 3:15: “…in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect….”

Summer 2018
September 16, 2019
Greetings, everyone! If you are interested in…
- sharing hope in the warm sunshine
- reaching out to people who approach about the joy of the gospel
- making a difference in someone’s life
…please consider joining us for one of our St Paul Street Evangelization events! We are stationing ourselves with free rosaries, medals, and information about God and the Catholic faith at two venues in Winona. We go out (at least two, usually 3-4 at a time) and pray that the Holy Spirit will lead whoever needs to talk to us to come up and speak. Otherwise we smile and are a peaceful presence to whomever passes by.
We have really enjoyed doing this and welcome anyone to come and join us. You must be VIRTUS trained, and if you are nervous, you can with us and pray and watch how it goes. If you want to talk more or get on the roster, please call Susan at 507- 452- 5399.

Our summer training meeting for Saint Paul Street Evangelization is Tuesday, June 5th, from 6:30pm-8pm, at Saint Mary’s Church, Visitations Commons. We’ll go through SPSE’s philosophy and pratice, how you do this, and practice a little! We also have important roles for people who are unable to table for any reason. Please come and check it out, and bring a friend!

Resources for inviting fallen away Catholics back to the faith

(^^^ A little free video from Saint Paul Street Evangelization!)
Inactive Catholics (and those who have chosen to attend other churches), if you put them all together, would constitute the second largest religious group in the USA. But so often–in fact, most of the time–people drift away and don’t know how to come back.
Well, the first thing you do is you invite them!
This can be scary, especially if the relationship is a little tense around this issue. But there are lots of resources–for you, for them–and the best reason of all: Jesus Christ heals and saves us. He is the source of our life and the shelter in the storm. Practicing the faith God gave us makes life EASIER, not harder (“my yoke is easy and my burden light”!)

How do I return?
But the best way to return home is through you–through your offer to connect them with a priest for confession, or to go to mass with them, or to connect with the RCIA director for sacraments of initiation. This just gets you started and excited!
