  • Started with SPSE January 2018

Mark signed up Jan. 2018 at the Encounter Conference and was on the streets 12 days later.  There are 22 people in the team email distribution list and it’s still growing.  On average there are about 4 evangelists on an outing.  They usually meet at busy city sidewalk areas, beaches, and events such as town fair.  Mark evangelizes in his daily life accepting the divine encounters God puts in his day.  He uses the Silver Bullet (Miraculous Medal) many times during the week in places such as the Home Depot aisle.  Mark has experience evangelizing with teams in Detroit, MI, Clearwater FL, Montreal, CA, & Chicago, IL and its Northern suburbs.

– What motivates you to evangelize?

I was healed from incredible pain at the Encounter Conference.  That same day I signed up for SPSE because I thought it was the best avenue to bring people back to Jesus.  In addition, I saw the encounter on the street as a terrific opportunity to pray with the recipient for physical healing, inner and spiritual healing right there on the spot.  Evangelization is now the focus of my spiritual life … bringing the lost to the Cross.  I want others to feel what I feel about Jesus and his love for others.

– How does prayer impact evangelization?

I cannot do what I do without daily prayer.  I pray the Rosary every day.  Read scripture twice a day.  Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and fast twice a week.  A big help was 33 Days to Morning Glory Consecration to Mary.  When I can, I prefer to go to Adoration once a week and that brings me the most peace.  Prayer centers me and revitalizes me.  What I am doing is bringing to lost, shattered and broken to His cross so sometimes I get tired.  Prayer is essential to recharge.
